Group Insurance Plans can include all, or a combination of the following:

Basic Employee Life Insurance provides either a 
Multiple of Earnings, such as 1 x earnings; or a Flat Amount of insurance. such as $25,000 per Employee.

Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) benefits most often mirror the Basic Group Life Insurance plan design.

Dependent Life Insurance provides coverage for a spouse and/or dependent child(ren). Critical Illness (CI) generally pays a lump sum benefit when the insured survives for a specified period after the diagnosis of a pre-determined serious Illness and or medical episode. Examples include, but not limited to Cancer, Stroke, Heart Attack.

Extended Health Care benefits provide coverage for expenses such as:
1. Glasses, Contact Lenses and/or Laser Eye Surgery
2. Hospital, Ambulance and Nursing
3. Prescription Drugs
4. Hearing aids
5. Paramedical Practitioners -for example Massage
Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychologist, etc.
6. Out-of-Province/Out-of-Country emergency travel

Short Term Disability (STD) benefits are also referred to as Weekly Indemnity (WI). STDIWI provide coverage for employees unable to work in the short term at a percentage of weekly earnings to a maximum specified by the plan.

Long Term Disability (LTD) benefits provide coverage for employees unable to work at a percentage of monthly earnings to a maximum specified by the plan. LTD normally commences when STD/WI or Employment Insurance is exhausted.

Dental Benefits plan designs vary, depending upon the coverage elected in the Master Group Insurance policy.

I. Basic/Preventative Dental Coverage: Cleaning, Fillings, Check-ups, Consultation, Oral Surgery, Periodontics (gum disease treatment), Endodontics (root canal / pulp therapy), Relining and Rebasing existing appliances. Benefits for Basic Dentistry are reimbursed at a rate of 60% -100% of the current general practitioner fee guide ranging from $500 to an unlimited amount per calendar year.
 
II.  Major Restorative includes crowns, bridges and dentures. Benefits are reimbursed at a rate of 50%-80% of the maximum rarnging from $500 to $3,000 per calendar year.

III. Orthodontics are reimbursed at a rate of 50%-60% of the maximum ranging from $500 to $3,000 per lifetime.
